Due to problems with Royal Mail/Christmas season, there has been a delay in people receiving there Live on the Riverboat CD’s, the Official Site has apologised for the delays and will look into any further disruptions | |
13th April 2003 | UK Tour Announced |
OCS manager Chris Cradock is currently finalising the itinerary of a full UK tour for later this year. The tour, which will take place during Autumn 2003, will begin in Scotland before moving south throughout England, also making a trip over the Irish Sea. | |

A big congratulations to Steve Cradock and his wife Sally who last week gave birth to their first child; a beautiful bouncing baby girl named Sunny Elizabeth, who weighed just under 6 pounds. | |

An official note from Chris Cradock posted on the website, announced the band is to split immediately citing ‘irreconcilable differences’. | |
13th April 2003 | OCS Anthology and DVD |
Universal Records are planning on releasing an Ocean Colour Scene anthology and DVD in the near future. Although no exact details are finalised, the anthology will feature two CDs full of B-sides and rare OCS tracks (including many from the very first album). | |
14th April 2003 | New Album Update |
As we mentioned previously, the new OCS album is now all recorded and we’re just going through the throws of the final mixes. It’s sounding ace; much heavier than the previous two albums. The band also thought it was crucial that it sounds more like an “album”, rather than a compilation of songs and they’re happy that they’ve achieved that. | |

As mentioned previously, Ocean Colour Scene will undertake a full UK tour in September/October. The tour will commence on the 4th September and continue until the 15th October. The lads will be taking in 31 dates in all, right throughout the UK and Ireland. | |
13th April 2003 | Album Latest |
The band have now finished the recording of the new album at the Townhouse Studios in London. Max Heynes will spend the coming weeks remixing the 12 songs that have been laid down, ready for an album release in late summer 2003. | |

In an enlightening interview in the Birmingham Evening Mail, the band announced the new album title, ‘North Atlantic Drift’ and another date for their upcoming tour, at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. ( see tour news ) | |

Some of the more eagle eyed among you may have noticed that the Stoke Lomax Gig scheduled for the 13th of September has now been removed from the official site tour list, This is because the Venue has been sold. Alternative Venues are being sought. | |
I have added over thirty new gig photos to the Gallery, making this the largest Ocean Colour Scene Gallery available! Thanks to Scott Ledbury who very kindly provided me with the photos, they cover the last couple of years gigs. | |

New OCS Site to go live soon | |
There have been delays in getting the new OCS site up and running but I am told it is coming soon, the reason for this was that the contract for the existing site was cancelled before plans for the new one where in place, Hence the problems. | |


The no longer updated OCS website known as Debris Road, which most people have had problems accessing, has now reappeared as an archive, it will no longer be updated but will remain as a source of OCS information going back five years. | |
